Help Shape Council’s Next 5 Years
West Arnhem Regional Council is preparing its next Strategic Plan for 2027 - 2031, and we want to hear from you.
The Strategic Plan will guide Council’s priorities, services, partnerships and decisions over the next five years. It will help Council plan for the future of Jabiru, Gunbalanya, Maningrida, Warruwi and Minjilang.
This is your opportunity to tell Council what matters most in your community and across the West Arnhem region.
We want to know:
- What Council should focus on over the next five years.
- What is working well.
- What Council needs to improve.
- What success should look like for our communities.
- Where Council can work with others to achieve better outcomes.
There are two surveys available:
Community Survey
The Community Survey is for people who live in, work in or have a connection to Jabiru, Gunbalanya, Maningrida, Warruwi or Minjilang.
The survey asks about what matters most in your community, Council services, local priorities and ideas for the future.
The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Stakeholder Survey
The Stakeholder Survey is for organisations, service providers, businesses, agencies, Aboriginal organisations and other regional partners.
The survey asks about regional priorities, Council’s work with other organisations, partnership opportunities and future challenges.
The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete.

You can also complete a paper survey.
Paper copies are available from:
- Council offices in Jabiru, Gunbalanya, Maningrida, Warruwi and Minjilang.
- Council staff at selected community events and activities.
If you would like help completing a survey, please speak with a Council staff member. Council can support people to complete the survey online or on paper.
Survey dates
The surveys are open from 25 September until 23 October.
Please complete your survey before the closing date so your feedback can be included.

What happens with your feedback?
Council will review all survey responses alongside feedback from:
- Local Authority meetings
- Elected Members
- Council staff and senior management
- Other consultation activities
Your feedback will help Council prepare a draft Strategic Plan for the next five years.
Privacy
You do not need to provide your name to complete the survey.
Survey responses will be combined and summarised. Individual comments will not be attributed to a person without their permission.
