Local Authorities
A strong voice for Community
Local Authorities give people living in Maningrida, Minjilang, Warruwi and Gunbalanya a direct say in how Council services are provided, and how funds are spent in their communities.
Local Authorities, which came into effect on 1 July 2014, are comprised of community representatives and an elected Chairperson, who advise on specific Council community and social projects that impact on their community or region.
Community members and stakeholders are welcome to attend Local Authority Meetings.
