Youth, Sport and Recreation supports Jabiru Bombers

West Arnhem Regional Council’s Youth, Sport and Recreation (YSR) team in Kakadu created this amazing banner to show their support for the Jabiru Bombers men’s and women’s teams!
The youth are so proud!
While working on the banner, YSR Officer Leah Holt-Narul and Community volunteer Ricoda Ahfat shared important messages about the importance of perseverance, effort and being a team player. 
Although our female side did not get the win in the grand final this year, we instilled in our participants that regardless of the whether you win or not your effort and dedication should still be recognised and that you should always dust yourself off and try again (in the wise words of Aaliyah). 
It was a great afternoon, and we hope to be able to display our banner at the service station in the coming days.
Youth, Sport and Recreation Officer Leah Holt-Narul said, “We should be so proud of our Bombers team! Their effort and dedication to play week in and week out as well as train hard throughout the week has paid off massively and we as a community need to show them how proud we are. This is our way of saying WELL DONE!”
