Warruwi Water Festival

Mathilda Lipscombe from Power and Water's Water Demand Management team visited Warruwi on South Goulburn Island recently to run the Warruwi Water Festival.
Warruwi is an at-risk community when it comes to water security, and the event was an opportunity for two-way knowledge sharing between Power and Water and residents. It was a chance for people to ask questions, take part in groundwater monitoring and share cultural stories.
The Mardbalk Land & Sea Rangers and Junior Rangers were involved.
Several residents recorded water conservation messages for sharing with the wider community.
Power and Water works with communities like Warruwi to share with people how precious water is, where it comes from and how they can help protect it.
