Upgrading sporting facilities across the region

West Arnhem Regional Council is committed to improving sporting facilities across the region, and we’re excited to share that the Gunbalanya Oval Lights are now officially complete! 
A huge thanks to the Northern Territory Government for supporting this project – these lights will make a massive difference for sport and recreation in the Community. 
But that's not all - watch this space as we make further improvements to the Gunbalanya Oval.
In Jabiru, upgrades to Brockman Oval have started, including brand new oval lighting and the installation of three grandstands! 
Design of the oval lights is underway and Council is aiming to have the grandstands ready by early October - just in time for the Jabiru Bombers’ footy season kick-off! 
These upgrades are made possible through the Rio Tinto Jabiru Social Infrastructure Fund.
