Upgrades to Community road networks

West Arnhem Regional Council has been carrying out extensive road upgrades throughout Maningrida, Warruwi and Gunbalanya over the last few months, greatly supported by the Roads to Recovery program.
The works in Warruwi are winding up and the community is looking better than ever.
The upgrades involved shoulder maintenance and resealing all of the internal community roads and all the edge breaks and potholes around town were fixed. 
New steel grab rail bollards have also been installed on each side of the speed bumps on the internal community roads. These bollards were funded through the Warruwi Local Authority and will increase road safety.
These upgrades will add 10 years life to the existing road network in Warruwi and reduce ongoing maintenance improving road safety.
