PUBLIC NOTICE - Jabiru Childcare Centre Update - 15 June 2026

We are pleased to advise that repair works to the childcare centre roof are progressing.

Council has also commenced recruitment for the Early Childhood Manager position, with applications closing this week.

We wish to assure affected families that Council is working closely with Parks Australia to progress the works as quickly as possible.

The reopening of the facility and the restoration of full childcare services will depend on the completion of all required repairs. 

At this stage, the Centre is expected to remain closed until 1st of August 2026. Further updates will be provided as works continue.

We acknowledge the ongoing challenges the closure has caused for Jabiru families and sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
