PUBLIC NOTICE - Jabiru Childcare Centre Closure

Due to extensive roof damage caused by recent rainfall, the Jabiru Childcare Centre is unable to safely open until repairs can be completed.

At this stage, the Centre is expected to remain closed for approximately four weeks (until 20 February 2026). Parents and carers have been advised of the closure.

West Arnhem Regional Council understands this closure may be difficult for families and carers who rely on the service and acknowledges the disruption this may cause.

The closure is necessary while repairs are undertaken to ensure the safety of children and staff.

Council is also actively recruiting to fill all vacant positions at the Centre to support a consistent and reliable service when the Centre reopens.
