Nominations are now open for candidates in the 2025 Local Government Elections.
West Arnhem residents can nominate to be an Elected Member on the West Arnhem Regional Council.
Local government plays a vital role in shaping our communities - making decisions about parks, roads, facilities, and more. Now’s your chance to get involved and make a difference.
Who can nominate?
To be eligible to nominate as a candidate, you must be:
- an Australian citizen
- 18 years of age or older
- enrolled to vote in the local government area you are nominating for
- a resident within the local government area.
How to nominate?
Complete the nomination form and submit it via the NT Electoral Commission website.
Key dates:
• Nominations open: Friday 11 July 2025
• Nominations close: 12 noon, Thursday 31 July 2025
