Harmony Week is an annual celebration of cultural diversity, it promotes inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for all Australians. To celebrate Jabiru Childcare has asked all visitors to trace their handprint onto orange paper.  Orange represents social communication, meaningful conversation, and the freedom of ideas.
These handprints will be used to make leaves on a Harmony tree.  We also asked all children and educators to wear orange on Wednesday 19th March.  The children contributed by placing their handprint on a canvas which will be displayed at the service.
To further celebrate Grace (pictured) came to the service and performed her cultural dance.  Grace was wearing the dance costume and performed a traditional dance from Kiribati.
On behalf of the educators and children we thank Grace for contributing to our Harmony week celebrations.
