Grand Opening - Maningrida Change Rooms
West Arnhem Regional Council is proud to celebrate the official opening of the long-anticipated Maningrida Change Rooms Facility alongside special guests, stakeholders, and the community on Friday, 14 November.
This major infrastructure project marks a significant milestone for Maningrida, providing modern, professional-grade facilities to support local sport and strengthen community participation.
Mayor James Woods said he looks forward to celebrating this special occasion with the community.
“We invite everyone to come along and celebrate this exciting milestone for Maningrida,” Mayor Woods said.
“Footy is such an important part of life in our communities, and Council is proud to deliver this vital infrastructure to support and strengthen the local competition while helping AFL continue to grow across the region.”
The opening ceremony also kicks off a huge weekend for Maningrida, with the Sydney Swans in town for the Maningrida Footy Festival. The event will include a weekend of sport, festivities, and health promotions, supporting important anti-smoking messages and community wellbeing.
This project was proudly funded by the Australian Government’s Aboriginals Benefit Account (ABA) and administered by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA).
