First Council Sponsorship Recipients Announced
West Arnhem Regional Council is pleased to announce the successful recipients of its inaugural Council Sponsorship Fund.
The new sponsorship program provides funding to community groups, individuals and organisations across the West Arnhem region to support local projects, events and activities that help build stronger, more connected communities.
The initiative aligns with Council's Strategic Plan under the pillar Partnerships, Relationships and Belong, recognising that investing in relationships and partnerships at all levels strengthens community connections and a sense of belonging.
Mayor James Woods said the sponsorship fund reflects Council's commitment to supporting community-led initiatives that make a positive difference across the region.
"These sponsorships are an investment in our communities and the people who work hard to make them stronger. Council is pleased to support local initiatives that encourage participation, celebrate culture, promote wellbeing and create opportunities for people of all ages," Mayor Woods said.
The successful recipients represent a diverse range of projects that will benefit communities across the West Arnhem region, including initiatives focused on sport and recreation, youth engagement, arts and culture, community wellbeing, and local events.
The successful applicants and their projects are as follows:
