Each year, Territorians celebrate this milestone and the place they call home, with this year’s theme, ‘Our Stories. Our Home. Our Territory.,’ highlighting the diverse voices and strong connections that define the NT.
Minister for Major Events and Tourism and Hospitality Marie-Clare Boothby said Territory Day was a celebration of the Territory’s proud identity and strong community spirit.
“Territory Day is one of the most unifying and uplifting events on our calendar. It’s a time for families, friends and communities to come together and celebrate who we are,” said Ms Boothby.
“From major centres to remote towns, the night will be filled with local events, community spirit, and of course, fireworks lighting up the skies right across the NT.”
“Whether you’re watching fireworks with family, lighting up the night sky, or enjoying a local community event, we hope everyone has a fun and safe Territory Day,” said Ms Boothby.
“If you’re celebrating at home with your own fireworks, please do so safely and follow the advice of authorities, who will be out on the night working hard to keep us all safe.”
