Celebrating International Women's Day 2026

West Arnhem Regional Council hosted the International Women’s Day 2026 celebration in Jabiru, centred on the theme “Give to Gain” on Wednesday, 18 March.
The event aimed to recognise and celebrate the contributions of women and girls while promoting wellbeing, leadership, and community connection through inclusive and culturally appropriate activities.
Around 65 local community members, leaders, and stakeholders attended the event, strengthening relationships and supporting positive social outcomes within the Jabiru community.
Held at the Jabiru Library, the celebration featured an address from the Chief Executive Officer of West Arnhem Regional Council, along with targeted wellbeing activities delivered through the STARS Program. Light refreshments were also provided to help create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
The event provided a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the important contributions of women within the Jabiru community.
