Build Up Skateboarding workshops in Gunbalanya

The Build Up Skateboarding crew Allan and Eugene recently visited Gunbalanya for three great days of skateboarding!

They split their time between the school and after-school they collaborated with West Arnhem Regional Council’s sport and recreation team. While skateboarding is far from being number one sport in community, it was great to expose youth to different sports and activities that they may not get access to being remote.

The younger cohort in particular got right in to it. Our tow best skateboarders for the week were females. It was great to see some youth that may not excel at the mainstream sports really enjoy and grow in confidence on the skateboard.
