Better parcel tracking coming to Minjilang and Warruwi

West Arnhem Regional Council is pleased to share that the Minjilang and Warruwi Community Post Offices have been selected to participate in a six-month scanner trial in partnership with Australia Post.
This trial recognises the essential role our Community Post Offices play in delivering vital postal services to remote communities.
The new scanners aim to streamline parcel tracking by improving how residents are notified of incoming deliveries.
Once a parcel is scanned upon arrival on the island, customers will receive an instant update via the Australia Post App, advising that their parcel is ‘awaiting collection’.
That means you’ll know your item has landed locally and is ready to pick up - no more wondering if it’s still on the way.
The trial also helps Australia Post learn more about how many parcels come into our communities and how services are working in remote areas.
Pictured is Shaniece Gaykamangku, the first customer to use the scanner in Warruwi, with Customer Service Officer Mobie Wees.
We encourage community members to download the Australia Post app for an easier process when collecting parcels from the local CPA.
