The NT Electoral Commission has officially declared the candidates and determined the ballot paper order for the 2025 Local Government Supplementary Elections – Kakadu Ward and Gunbalanya Ward.
Voting is required in both Wards.
How to Vote
Early voting and remote voting will commence from the 17 November 2025 at the following times and locations:

All eligible voters must participate in the Northern Territory Local Government elections. If you don’t vote and don’t have a valid reason, you may receive a fine under the Local Government Act.
People can vote in person or via postal vote. Apply for a postal vote.
