West Arnhem Regional Council is seeking an experienced project leader to plan, deliver and oversee critical civil and infrastructure projects that respond to community needs across our region. What you’ll bring to the role
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience delivering and managing infrastructure assets, projects and contracts, ideally in local government or the public sector.
- Significant experience with Strategic Infrastructure Asset Management Systems and related planning frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of project management practice, including procurement and tendering, contract administration, record management, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and complex workloads, and deliver outcomes within tight and politically sensitive timeframes.
- Strong understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture, and ability to work effectively in remote, cross‑cultural environments while balancing community expectations and organisational requirements.

Salary
- Remuneration Package $136,288 (including base salary $119,531)
