Join us as an Early Childhood Manager and make a difference in remote early learning
Lead early childhood services that make a real difference for children, families, and remote Indigenous communities in West Arnhem. As our Early Childhood Manager, you will oversee the Jabiru Child Care Centre and the Minjilang and Warruwi Creches in line with the National Quality Framework, the Early Years Learning Framework, and WHS requirements, driving continuous improvement, mentoring and developing your team, and ensuring educational programs are high-quality, safe, and culturally respectful. This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood leader who wants to use their skills in a hands-on, community-focused position in the Top End.
- Has significant experience leading early childhood services (e.g. Centre Director, Assistant Director, or similar).
- Understands and uses the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and Early Years Learning Framework in everyday practice.
- Is confident managing staff, including coaching, mentoring, and supporting their professional growth.
- Communicates well with families, colleagues, and community organisations, including in cross-cultural settings.
- Values and respects Aboriginal culture and is willing to live and work in remote communities.
- Can manage budgets, fees, funding, and contracts, and keep accurate records and reports.
- Is proactive about child safety, health, hygiene, and work health and safety requirements.
- Able to handle competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and show good judgment.
- Holds a Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education recognised under the NQF.
- Has current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management training, food safety training, and a Working With Children Check (Ochre Card).

Remuneration Package $132,318 - $150,739 (including salary $116,049 – 132,205)
