The artistic skills of young people in Warruwi were on display recently when the Mardbalk Arts and Culture held a local community exhibition in the art space.

Mardbalk manager Brenda Westley said the exhibition, which opened on on Friday 19 September, featured works from students at the Warruwi Community School.

“Every student created a canvas during the 'Masterpieces in the Morning' project,” Mrs Westley said.

“Each of the five classrooms had an artist from Mardbalk Arts and Culture assisting them on the day.”

West Arnhem Regional Council Service Manager Kupa Teao said the art exhibition was a great community event.

“It allowed each kid to engage in artwork and to promote development in this area for each of them,” Mr Teao said.
