Man Celebrating Territory Day

The Jabiru Sports and Social Club will once again be holding an exciting free event to celebrate this Territory Day and there is something for the whole family.
The community is invited to head the club on Saturday, July 1 for the event which is a huge hit every year.
Not only will Jon Davis be performing at the club, there will also be a lucky door prize and raffle.
The event includes a free family barbecue, and for the young ones, there will be two special guests and games.
The exciting fireworks display will kick off at 7.30pm, and it is not to be missed.
No alcohol or personal fireworks are permitted.
Maningrida will also be holding a huge community celebration this Saturday July 1 for Territory Day.
This event will showcase some of the great programs and initiatives which are taking place in the community, and will conclude with a great fireworks display.
The action will kick off at 3.30pm with the afternoon featuring local market stalls open from the Youth Centre, Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation and Malabam.
There will also be a stall from Mr Don Wilton and his fellow fishermen that will be selling delicious barbecue fish.
Local bands will feature in the entertainment line up with Riverband opening, followed by KK Boys, Liverpool Band and Sunrise Band which are all part of the Music and Media Project.
To finish the day there will be a 15 minutes fireworks display for one and all to enjoy.
Everyone from Maningrida is welcome to attend the free community event.
