School holiday program concludes in Warruwi

Warruwi’s West Arnhem Regional Council Youth, Sport and Recreation team joined with the Community Safety Officers during the recent school holidays to organise a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for the young people in the community.
The holiday program incorporated football and basketball, and inside activities included opening up the Warruwi Recreation Hall’s ‘chill space’, as well as home economics.
Later in the evenings, the youth attended regular discos which are always a hit.
From the 18 to 22 January, the Warruwi community were excited to welcome Rix Kix who facilitated dance workshops ranging from hip hop, contemporary, drama, jazz and ballet. 
They interacted well with the youth and facilitated dance sessions in the evenings with both boys and girls.

Following these workshops, the youth did a little performance at the recreation hall to the public. 
The WARC team were also actively reminder youth that school was returning for the year.
