New community picnic areas in Maningrida

Two new undercover picnic tables have been installed in the Maningrida township for the community to utilise, seek shelter and enjoy at all times.
Funded by the Maningrida Local Authority, the new communal meeting areas are situated at the front area of the West Arnhem Regional Council office.
The original location was selected as it features large open spaces and facilities nearby, and the final position of the shelters were chosen following consultation with the community and Council Service Manager Yanja Thompson. 
Each space features a roof shelter, one table and two park benches. There is also a water bubbler installed between them for public use.
Stedman Constructions carried out the installation which took around one week to complete.
West Arnhem Regional Council wishes to thank the Local Authority members for supporting this project which will benefit the community for a long time to come.
