Jabiru Pool reopening date extended

17 June 2021

The Jabiru pool facility has been rescheduled to open on 30 June 2021 (tentatively), due to an extension of the works as part of the Jabiru Beautification Project.

West Arnhem Regional Council has extended the reopening date to accommodate additions to the upgrades, which will include the allocation of new playground equipment to replace the existing equipment and some tiling works within the pool.

As part of the full transformation, the pool facility will feature:
- A shade cover
- A mushroom splash pad
- New playground equipment
- 3 new sheltered tables and chairs
- New shade over the sun-lounges
-  An electric barbecue

Council intend to reopen the pool itself at the end of June, followed by the splash pad and new playground equipment afterwards.

West Arnhem Regional Council hope the community will be able to enjoy these new features when the facility reopens in a few weeks’ time.

Funded by the Director of National Parks and Northern Territory Government, the upgrades at the Jabiru Pool are a part of the Jabiru Beautification Project.
