Jabiru Bombers gearing up for final series

The Jabiru Bombers are keeping strong this season with round 17 taking place this weekend in Darwin against Banks and all Bombers supporters are encouraged to support the team if you are in Darwin.
Meanwhile, the Bombers are currently sitting in third place on the ladder, with 13 wins under their belts and three losses so far this season.
The big wet season has played havoc with travel arrangements this season, forcing the Jabiru-based players to drive a 10 hour round trip last weekend, and possibly again this weekend. This is just an added strain on club resources as they also fly each week, on average, 10 players from Gunbalanya to Darwin and back for games.
However, the team is gearing up for a big final series beginning in two weeks’ time and are looking forward to the sponsors/family fun day in Round 18 on Saturday, February 17.
The game will see the Jabiru Bombers play Nightcliff Spartans in what should be a big round 18. Kick off is at 2pm and there will be plenty of activity off the field with a jumping castle, face painting and the fire truck will be there for the kids.
Food and drinks will be available from the canteen during the afternoon and following the game, there will be karaoke at the Jabiru Sports and Social Club 
from 8pm.
