A 'fiery' corroborree for Santa

Well it’s that time of year again - a time when you might see a red sleigh pull in to the local servo and wonder if you had too much to drink at your work Christmas party.

Over the past week or so, Santa and his helpers have been getting around like rissoles to many of the communities across West Arnhem. But what with the heat and all, his reindeer have been taking a break, and you might even spot them here and there, perhaps even standing about in the car park behind Jabiru Foodland.

While Santa’s reindeer are resting, our Police Officers and Fire Fighters have been busy helping out, driving Santa and Mrs Claus hither and thither as they spread goodwill, Christmas cheer and lollies to the children of our towns and communities.

A mighty thumbs up to the crew from the Jabiru Fire Station, who helped Santa get his sleigh around the streets of Jabiru and out to the nearby community of Manabadurma.
