Cultural tour for Warruwi Clinic staff

23 October 2020

There was a cultural tour by the team at the Warruwi Clinic recently.
The educational tour was led by Community Liaison Officer James Marrawal to familiarise Health Centre staff members with the ceremonial grounds/men’s and women’s area.
It also provided the opportunity to seek out local native foods such as fresh oysters, bush apples, Gunbi-green plums and Wigal-Native asparagus.
Afternoons like this are an important part of team building and learning, in order to practice in a culturally sensitive manner for all staff.
The tour ended with an enjoyable fire with tea and afternoon snacks.
