The Jabiru Bombers are getting warmed up for their first game of the season against Waratah Warriors this Sunday, with the sweat flying in training at Jabiru's Brockman Oval last night.

The 2014 Bombers lineup includes new recruit Barkley Cooper, captain of the 2014 Gurrung Sports Carnival premiership team Minjilang Tigers.

In the heat of the build-up, the team turned out in big numbers for the last session before the first game, allowing for long kicking exercises, switching play down the ground and contested work in close. The NTFL Division 2 team also built on their skills in centre bounce clearances under coach Ian Douglass, coordinator of West Arnhem Regional Council's Sport & Recreation program.

Douglass urged Jabiru residents to come along and support their local team this Sunday from 2pm at Brockman Oval.

Food and beverages are available at the clubhouse.
